Dallas

The Dallas Arts District proudly announces the Dallas and Texas premiere of RedBall Dallas by artist Kurt Perschke, presented June 19–28, 2026. This award-winning traveling public artwork arrives in Dallas at a pivotal moment, as the city welcomes residents and global visitors during World Cup 2026. RedBall is a featured highlight of Dallas Arts District Fest.

RedBall Project by artist Kurt Perschke is an ongoing temporary public artwork and performance featuring a 15-foot inflatable red sphere that moves daily through a city, appearing at publicly shared locations, and inviting both planned and unexpected encounters in public space.

For ten consecutive days, the iconic RedBall will travel throughout the Dallas Arts District and surrounding downtown locations, transforming streets, cultural landmarks, and everyday passageways into sites of curiosity, imagination~~play~~, and shared discovery.

Rather than occupying a single site, the work unfolds across the city over time. Some visitors will seek it out intentionally, while others encounter it unexpectedly in the rhythm of daily life — both are central to how the project functions. The experience is free and open to the public.

Since its inception in 2001, RedBall Project has been performed in more than 50 cities worldwide in collaboration with festivals, cultural institutions, municipalities, and public art organizations. The performance travels from city to city connecting an audience’s experience on the street into a continuous global story.

RedBall Dallas by artist Kurt Perschke is made possible through the generous support of its Presenter the Dallas Arts District.

The daily locations will be announced on June 1, 2026 for the locations in the neighborhoods of Dallas Arts District, Downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum and Bishop Arts. Sign up for updates or follow the project on Instagram for daily updates when we go live.
